TBHP 为挥发性、无色至淡黄色透明液体，属于烷基氢过氧化物。主要用于苯乙烯、丙烯腈、丙烯酸及甲基丙烯酸酯的聚合与共聚反应，作为自由基引发剂；同时也是合成其他有机过氧化物的重要原料。
TBHP is a volatile, colorless to slightly yellow transparent liquid. It belongs to alkyl hydroperoxide. It is mainly used as a free-radical initiator for the polymerization and copolymerization of styrene, acrylonitrile, acrylate and methyl acrylate. It is also widely used as an important raw material for the synthesis of other organic peroxides.
